Plenary Sessions (PL)

WCD Distinguished Lectureships: Global experts discuss important medical and scientific issues relevant to dermatology. (Number of presentations: 5)

WCD Keynote Lectureships: Leading dermatologists from around the world present state-of-the-art lectures on hot topics. (Number of presentations: 15)

Symposia (SY): Comprehensive and broad overview of a dermatologic topic aimed at bringing participants up to date on the current state-of-the-art including relevant basic science, diagnosis, and management. (Number of sessions: 74)

Workshops (WS): In-depth interactive sessions on specific disorders and techniques with an emphasis on practical knowledge and outcomes. (Number of sessions: 83)

Courses (CO): Didactic sessions aimed at participants who wish to gain new knowledge in a field where they may not already be familiar. Basic aspects of the topic are covered in addition key current breakthroughs and advances. Courses require pre-registration and are ticketed events. (Number of sessions: 20)

Controversies in Dermatology (CN): Debate-style presentations on challenging issues in dermatology. (Number of sessions: 11)

Global Celebration Forum (GC): Specially-themed sessions featuring Canadian, international and rising stars in dermatology. Hosted by the Canadian Dermatology Association, these early morning, breakfast sessions deliver three choice presentations on topics varying from disease management to cosmetics/surgery to recent innovations; and honours Canadian leaders and pioneers in dermatology through named lectureships in celebration of the association’s 90th anniversary. Select sessions are offered in collaboration with the Canadian Dermatology Foundation, the Canadian Contact Dermatitis Society, the Canadian Society of Dermatologic Surgery, the Canadian Society of Investigative Dermatology, and the Canadian Professors of Dermatology. (Number of sessions: 15)

Free Communications (FC): Brief proffered presentations (oral or poster) on focused studies, investigations, or observations in dermatology. (Number of sessions: 50)

Residents, Registrars and Fellows Forum (RFF): A special Forum during the Congress to feature extended oral presentations by dermatology residents, registrars, and fellows on basic or clinical research. (Number of sessions: 5)

ILDS Member Society Meetings (AM): Monday June 8 is set aside for ILDS Member and Affiliate Societies to host their own half- or full-day meetings. (Number of sessions: 33)

International Poster Gallery: The WCD 2015 International Poster Gallery is located in the Exhibit Hall and will display thousands of searchable E-Posters at individual computer kiosks.

Feature Posters (FP): Feature Posters have been selected by the Free Communications Committee based on their scientific, clinical, and educational merit. Each Feature Poster will be displayed for one-half day during the WCD. Authors will be available for discussion during this session time. (Number of sessions: 8)
