Do I need a Visa to come to Canada?

Most travelers will need a passport valid for at least 90 days following your departure date from Canada. Visa regulations for Canada vary according to the country of origin. To see if you need a visa to enter Canada, please visit our Entering Canada – Visa Information page.

Do you provide invitation or visa letters?

Yes. We do provide invitation letters that participants may use when applying for the visitor visa to Canada. This letter is not a commitment on the part of the organizers to provide any financial support. Please note that embassies will check with the Congress Organizers that participants are registered for the Congress, for which an affirmative answer will only be granted if the participants have paid their registration fee in full. The organizers will not be able to contact or intervene with any Embassy or Consulate office on behalf of a delegate.

How can I get an Official Letter of Invitation for attending the World Congress of Dermatology?

The Congress Organizers will be pleased to send a formal letter of invitation to registered delegates requesting an invitation letter for visa purposes. It is understood that such an invitation is intended to help potential delegates to raise funds or to obtain a visa. This does not imply a commitment from the Congress to provide any financial support.

The letters will be sent by e-mail or upon request by postal mail. In case an express delivery is needed, the delegate shall order a courier at his / her own expense.

What is the official language of the Congress?

The official language of the World Congress of Dermatology 2015 is English.

Do I need to purchase insurance?

The Congress fee does not include insurance. All participants are advised to arrange their own travel and health insurance, which must be purchased in your country of origin. The organizers will not be responsible for loss of or damage to personal belongings.

What does the registration fee include?

Registration fee includes:

  • Access to all Congress Sessions* and Poster areas
  • Access to Satellite Symposia
  • Access to Technical Exhibit
  • Opening Ceremony and Closing Ceremony
  • Congress Delegate Bag and Congress Literature

What is the climate in Vancouver like?

Vancouver, British Columbia, has a moderate oceanic climate with summer months that are typically dry. This often results in moderate drought conditions in July and August. From June to August daytime temperatures linger just above 20° Celsius / 70° Fahrenheit. Evenings, especially in the surrounding mountains, are a bit cooler.

What is the official currency?

The Canadian currency is the Canadian dollar (CAD). Registration fees are shown in US dollars (USD).
